Christmas At Our House

Christmas at our house is very exciting it starts at 3 o'clock in the morning, and we all come in saying "He's been, he's been", and we all come running into Mum and Dads bedroom with our bags. We dive into our bags of presents.  One time Kerry pulled out some sweets, then Kelly pulled out the same.  "I am going to open another present," said Kerry, it was a bracelet and necklace, Kelly opened the same, Joseph pulled a present out of his bag and said, "I hope I haven't got the same phew! Its soldiers". They dived into their bags again and Kerry found an orange Kelly founds an apple, Joseph said, "Yuck". He'd pulled out a banana.
They all ran downstairs next and found lots more presents.
"Wow!"  said Joseph,  "I've got a playstation - yes! Look I've got Tekken 2 and 3!"
"Yee  ha!"  I've got a Sindy house said Kelly, she opened and said, "Dad can you put it together please, so I can play with it".
Kerry said,  "What's that thing covered up with wheels showing?" She took the sheet off and said, "Who's is that bike Mum?" Then she saw the label on it saying, to Kerry from Santa, she couldn't believe her eyes.  Kerry said, "Dad can I go out on my bike?" Dad said, "You've got to be joking it's thick ice outside."  "But Dad I won't fall off!" "No Kerry."
They finished opening their presents, they had lots of things. The kids had their breakfast and Mum and Dad fell asleep exhausted.

The Prison Christmas Carol Concert

When Christmas is getting close, I go to a carol concert with my Dad and stepsister in the prison where my dad works.  The Lord Mayor is invited and a lot of the prisoners are allowed to come as well.

We get there early and have to go through a big gate, and then a man ticks our names off so that we can get out when it has finished.  My dad ten takes us through a lot of gates and doors into the prison chapel.

When we are all in the chapel, the prisoners are then allowed to come in with prison officers to look after them.  Then we sing carols and some of the prisoners sing and read to us about Jesus and Christmas.

After the concert, we are allowed to eat mince pies and drink orange juice while we talk to the prisoners.  They ask us our names and how old we are.  My Dad says that the carol concert is the only time that the prisoners see and mix with people from the outside world.

We all had a good time but we didn't like being locked inside all those gates and bars.
