Christmas Eve

Christmas, Christmas is exciting and fun.
Lots of good things to eat, cooked by my mum.
Tree lights that never work so Dad gets cross.
I think me and my sister will hide in the loft.

Presents pile high under the dark tree.
I wonder if they are all for me?
I go to bed early and shut my eyes.
I wake next day what a surprise!

Although it is still dark the tree is all aglow.
What has happened I do not know.
It must have been Santa that clever old man.
He worked his magic and then off he ran.
